Chandrabhan Sharma College Hosts Successful Job Fair with Over 25 Top Companies

Chandrabhan Sharma College of Arts, Science & Commerce has taken a significant step in supporting its students' career paths by organizing a Job Fair – Campus Drive on 24th February 2023. The event was open to all students of the college as well as those from neighboring colleges, and more than 55 colleges registered for the job fair. Over 450 students attended the fair, with 126 receiving job confirmations on the day.

The Placements & Career Guidance Cell of the college understand that their responsibility towards the students is not limited to providing them with academic knowledge. They also play a crucial role in helping them kick-start their careers. Job fairs are a great platform for entry-level job recruitment, and job seekers can take advantage of this opportunity to stand out from other applicants and get a glimpse of what it is like to work for a company or industry that interests them.

The Job Fair witnessed the participation of over 25 companies from various sectors such as Finance, Commerce, Management, Media, and IT. The top companies that took part in the fair included ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Unicare healthcare, PayTm, NMIMS, Impact Guru, Acme, Atos, MK Group, Manpower Group Services and many others.

The Job Fair – The recruitment process included employment presentations, personal interviews, group discussions, written tests, and more. After the registration of students at 9:00 am, the managing trustee Prashant Sharma, and the principal of the college, Dr Pratima Singh, interacted with the HR teams of all the participating companies, following which the recruitment process began.

Each company was allotted separate classrooms to conduct interviews with the candidates. Post-interview sessions, the selected students were informed before leaving for the day.

The event was a massive success for the Placements & Career Guidance Cell of CSC College, which took a significant initiative in bridging the gap between employees and employers.

The fair provided an excellent opportunity for students to interact with the companies and get an insight into the job market. Such events are crucial for students, especially those who are about to graduate, as they provide an opportunity to showcase their skills and get an idea of the job requirements in different sectors.
