Powai news caught up with Sarisha Kabra, a student of Pawar Public School Chandivali for a quick interview to know about her and how she kept herself motivated to tackle the exams.Sarisha scored 89% in her ICSE Board exams has scored thehighest in the subject Commerce – 95/100.

Powai News: Congratulations on your achievement! How doyou feel right now? Take us through how you reacted to the phenomenal news.
Sarisha: Yes, I am extremely happy as I had put in my efforts and had worked hard. When I saw my result, I was filled with joy. My family was with me - my mom and my dad. I could not believe that I scored such good marks. I am truly grateful to my family and teachers who supported me throughout the journey.
Powai News: Is there someone in specific you would like to give credits for your achievement?
Sarisha: There is no one person. So many people are involved. My dad (Ritesh Kabra) and mom (Smita Kabra), my school teachers and my tuition teacher - Sachin Khandelwal sir, who personally tutored me at home. So, I am grateful to each one of them for this success of mine.

Powai News: Were you stressed when the exams were nearing? How did you handle the tension during the exam?
Sarisha: Honestly speaking, yes, I was really tensed about the exams when the dates were approaching. I was so worried and would sweat even by the thought of it. In fact, I was not in thepink of health before my Maths exam. But I kept faith on God and gave all my exams with utmost hard work and dedication.
Powai News: How did you manage your time between studies and fun?
Sarisha: I made time for both studies and fun. It was not like I was always with my books or studying. I kept time for other things as well that I enjoy doing. Dancing and listening to music are my favourite hobbies. Yes, I love music and I have been singing and writing lyrics for my own songs professionally and uploading it on YouTube on my channel –Sarisha Kabra. I have around 5000 subscribers too.
Powai News: What next for you?
Sarisha: I would like to eventually take up Commerce along with focusing on my passion i.e. music and if things don’t turn out then I would like to try my luck in acting or fashion designing too. I have my interest too.
Powai News: What tips do you have for the upcoming batch of students gearing up for Class 10th?
Sarisha: I do not think if I am the right person to give tips. But, yes, I would like to tell them to show 100% dedication and be confident in whatever they do. Work hard and give considerable time for everything that you love to do making sure to balance out things.
