
Powai6: A 3 km youth run was organized by Powai Yuva Manch and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) volunteers through on 5th February 2023 to spread awareness about a drug-free Powai. The run was inaugurated by Rishikesh Joshi with the worship of Bharat Mata, Swami Vivekananda, and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

The youth-run, which started from Ayyappa Vishnu Mandir Hari Om Nagar, was supported by various organizations and individuals. The NSS Unit of SM Shetty College and the volunteer of Inormous Samaj Seva played a crucial role in making the run successful. The Convenor of Gauri Shetty Foundation, Babu Shetty, along with social worker Pradeep Verma, Doctors Deepa, and Hemant Ghodke also supported the run.


The youth run aimed to spread awareness about the dangers of drugs and the need to keep Powai drug-free. The run saw enthusiastic participation from the young people of Powai who came out in large numbers to support the cause. The atmosphere was charged with energy and excitement as participants ran through the streets of Powai, cheering each other on.

The run was flagged off by Rishikesh Joshi, who addressed the participants and encouraged them to work towards a drug-free Powai. He emphasized the importance of physical activity and how it can help in building a healthy society. He also highlighted the role of youth in creating a better future for themselves and society.
