Historic 100th Episode of "Mann Ki Baat" Celebrated in Powai with a Cleanliness Drive and Live Broadcast

The historic 100th episode of the popular program "Mann Ki Baat" by Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi was celebrated uniquely in Powai on April 30th, 2023. Inspired by the Prime Minister's vision of cleanliness and conservation, a cleanliness drive was organized in the Powai Lake area, followed by a live broadcast of the special “Mann Ki Baat” episode at 11 am. The event was organized with the BharatiyaJanata Party (BJP) and held at the Ganesh Ghat in Pawar Wadi, Powai.

A large number of citizens, IT students, and members of Nisarg Sanstha came together to participate in the initiative. They participated in the cleanliness drive and removed litter and debris from the area, promoting the importance of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and conserving natural resources. The live broadcast of the special episode of "Mann Ki Baat" shared the Prime Minister's ideas on conserving lakes and other natural resources, inspiring the participants to do more for the betterment of their surroundings.

In addition to the celebrations, Inaugurated the land for civic amenities works at Powai Lake in the presence of MP Manoj Kotak and under the Basic Facilities Grant for Tourism Destination Development, courtesy of the Government of Maharashtra. The development works include:

• Desilting of Lake Powai Lake Ganesh Ghat• Entrance works at Powai Lake Ganesh Ghat• Meeting arrangements at Powai Lake Ganesh Ghat and beautification work• Planting work for rocks and trees at Powai Lake Ganesh Ghat• Electric fountain work at Powai Lake

Notable BJP members, office bearers, and residents, including Srinivas Tripathi (Ex-Nominated Corporator), Vaishali Patil (Ex-Corporator), Vilas Sohni(Ward president BJP), Sanjay Shukla, Pradeep Gupta, Arif Siddiqui, Umesh Acharya, Sandeep Tiwari, Bhaskar Dubey, Bipin Kekhiye, Babu Shetty, Guru Sharma, Satyapal Malik, Mithilesh Mishra, Manisha Soni, Sonali Khaire, Shakuntala Yadav, Ramsurat Singh, Bharat Shetty, Neeraj Singh, Sachin Vohra, Lokesh Gowda, Sanjeev Tiwari were present.

While Speaking with Planet Powai Shriniwas Tripathi said that the event not only marked an important milestone of the "Mann Ki Baat" program but also emphasized the importance of cleanliness and conservation of natural resources, promoting a better future for Powai and its residents.
