Successful Cocaine Seizure and Arrest of Two Foreign Nationals by Sakinaka Police

Mumbai: In a remarkable display of vigilance, the Sakinaka Police Station successfully apprehended two foreign nationals and seized cocaine worth approximately nine crore rupees. The arrest occurred during a routine night patrol on January 6, 2024.

While conducting a patrol near Hansa Industries on Sakivihar Road at around 10:30 am, constables Pouni Nagare, Pouni Pardeshi, and officers Po.Shi. No. 092492/Shigvan, P.O.No.091008/Kadam, P.O.No. 090817/KOLEKAR, PO. 09853/Sheikh noticed a suspicious individual. Acting swiftly, they, along with the police team, surrounded and apprehended the suspect, later identified as Namud Isma.

Subsequent questioning of Isma revealed his possession of cocaine-filled capsules. Under the supervision of Inspector Sambhaji Sable, a yellow plastic bag containing approximately 880 grams of cocaine, valued at Rs. 9 crores, was seized. The Sakinaka Police Station filed a case against the arrested individual, identified as Daniel Naimek Ky, a 38-year-old resident of Ezbeda, Lagos, Nigeria, currently residing in Ulwe, Navi Mumbai.

Further investigation led to the identification and subsequent arrest of Joel Alejandro Vega Ramos, a 19-year-old Venezuelan residing in Sakinaka, Mumbai. The Sakinaka Police Station, under the leadership of Senior Inspector Bharat Kumar Suryavanshi, demonstrated exemplary performance in collaboration with the city's law enforcement authorities.

This successful operation was conducted under the guidance of Mumbai Police Commissioner Shri. Vivek Fansalkar Sr., Special Commissioner of Police Shri. Deven Bharti, Associate Commissioner of Police Shri. Satyanarayan Choudhary, Additional Commissioner of Police Shri. Paramjit Singh Dahiya, Deputy Commissioner of Police Shri. Dutta Nalavade, and Assistant Commissioner of Police Bharat Kumar Suryavanshi.

The Sakinaka Police Station expresses gratitude for the support of the entire team involved, including P.O. (Crimes) Yogesh Shinde, Inspector Sambhaji Sabale, Pvt.
